Homemade Tzatziki Sauce
Looking to make a delicious and authentic tzatziki sauce from scratch? This delicious Greek sauce is made using simple ingredients. Tzatziki is a great dip or condiment for grilled meats or vegetables, and can also be used as a salad dressing.
- ¼ seedless cucumber
- 6 ounces plain Greek yogurt
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 teaspoons freshly chopped fresh dill
- ½ lemon juiced
- ⅕ teaspoon sea salt or to taste
Use a microplane or box grater to grate the cucumber. Strain or use your hands to squeeze out as much water as possible. Discard the water.
Peel the garlic and mash it into a paste.
In a bowl, stir together the yogurt, cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, and dill. Mix well to combine. Season with salt. Serve immediately or refrigerate.
