Start your morning off on the right foot with these Pomegranate Orange Mango Smoothies. They’re a delicious and easy breakfast packed with flavor – and they’re ready in under 5 minutes! (This recipe is the latest in my series for Bloom Fresh pomegranate arils.)
Mornings are hard.
I’ve never been a morning person, but lately it’s been so cold and dark in the mornings that’s it’s even more difficult to get out of bed in the morning. In order to make up for lost time, grab-and-go breakfasts are a must. Some mornings I rely on a make-ahead treat like pumpkin pie sticky buns, but most days I opt for a simple smoothie or protein shake.
These pomegranate, orange, and mango smoothies have a sweet-tart flavor that helps me perk up in the morning. I love that they only take a minute or two to whip up – I pour it into a travel tumbler and drink it during my drive in to the office.
Using mango sorbet instead of ice in these smoothies makes them ultra smooth and gives them a nice chill without making them too cold to enjoy this time of year. It also keeps them from being too thick – they have a consistency similar to an orange julius.
Fresh pomegranate arils give the smoothies a pretty pink color and add tartness that balances out the sweetness of the mango. They also add vitamin C and fiber to the smoothies. Bloom Fresh pomegranate arils make things easy, since you don’t need to wrestle with a whole pomegranate or guess whether or not it’s juicy and ripe – they’re hand-packed at the peak of ripeness, ensuring top quality.
