Now that it’s November, it’s time to start thinking about Thanksgiving. And by Thanksgiving, I mean stuffing.
I love stuffing – it’s by far my favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner – but I hardly ever think to make it. A few months ago, Jones Dairy Farm asked me to create a recipe for their brand-new stuffing site and I had a ton of fun coming up with (and testing!) some new stuffing ideas.
I decided that it would be fun to contribute a recipe with a regional spin, so I used ingredients that are classic New York: Rye bread, chestnuts, apples, and onions. (Did you know New York is a huge producer on onions? There was even a proposal a few years ago to make it our state vegetable.)
I can’t even tell you how good this is – it might be one of my favorite recipes EVER. Pop on over to StuffingAndMore.com to get the recipe!
The site contains over 25 unique stuffing recipes, and each one looks better than the next. I see a lot of stuffing in my future! You’ll also find stuffing tips and a stuffing v dressing poll. (By this point, you obviously know what side I’m on. #TeamStuffing) While you’re there, don’t forget to download a coupon for $1 off two sausage rolls.
This post was sponsored by my client, Jones Dairy Farm. Thank you for supporting the brands that keep me inspired in the kitchen!
What a fab recipe for a dressing. Something truly different—-at least in my world. And that’s what I like about it.
Oh, man, you’re making me VERY hungry! Stuffing is my favorite Thanksgiving dish…and yours is a winner!
Yes!!! This is the first stuffing recipe I’ve seen this season and I am beyond excited about it! It looks amazing!
How cool! We have chestnuts all over the place here and I’ve never done anything with them. What a great spin!
Umm, I don’t think that I have ever tried a chestnut. This stuffing looks great … anything with bacon is guaranteed to be Awesome!
I’ve never used rye bread for anything except sandwiches. I like your idea! I’m sure Jones Farm is happy with your creation 🙂
Stuffing is my favorite part of Thanksgiving – and I love this version. The Try bread is such a great twist!
I adore rye bread! And I bet the combination of rye and chestnuts is fantastic. The touch of sweetness with the apples sounds perfect, too!
