Tequila-Lime Sugar Cookies

Sugar Cookie Mix is an easy shortcut for these sweet-tart cookies, but you can also use your favorite sugar cookie recipe - just replace ⅔ the butter with Greek yogurt and add the tequila and lime zest as instructed.
For a tequila-free version, substitute with ½ teaspoon vanilla extract.

  • 1 pouch (17.5 ounces) Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter, softened (not melted)
  • 2 Tablespoons Fat Free Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon Flour
  • 1 room temperature Egg
  • 2 Tablespoons Tequila
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Lime Zest
  • 2 Tablespoons Powdered Sugar
  1. Heat oven to 350*F.
  2. Stir flour into cookie mix. Add butter, egg, tequila, and lim zest; stir until a soft dough forms.
  3. Roll dough to ¼-inch thickness. Cut with 2-inch cookie cutter and place on an ungreased cookie sheet, 1-inch part. Reroll scraps and recut as needed.
  4. Bake 8-10 minutes or until cooked through but not browned. (5-7 for smaller cookies). Remove from oven and let cool 1 minute before transferring to a cooling rack; let cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar.
